Kentucky State Auxiliary President - Glenda Lehmann, Recipient of the M. Michele Letz National Member of the Year Award
Our Kentucky State Auxiliary President, Glenda Lehmann, was the recipent of the Annual M. Michele Letz Mational Member of the Year 2015 Award. Some of the information from her nomination letter are:
- President Lehmann has been a member of the FOP Auxiliary since 1993.
- She has held multiple positions on her subordinate, state and national boards.
- She is always willing to be out in front, not only in the way she leads meetings, fund raisers and Memorial Services, but also publicly for the rest of us in the Auxiliary.
- She generously gives her time to mentor newer/current members and also meet with FOP members who are interested in forming an Auxiliary.
- She took over as President of the local Auxiliary with only 5 members and to date that Auxiliary has over 50 members.
- She is passionately involved in both the State and National Memorial Services annually and has worked tirelessly to improve both services each year.
- She was instrumental in starting the Relief fund for the Local and State Auxiliary.
- She was a charger member of the local Law Enforcement and Families Response Team and completed all training/continuing education to assist the Community Crisis Response Board, as well as responded with several teams across the State whenever asked.
- She assists in logistics for delivering FOP Memorial boxes to families of fallen officers and often attends FOP services or at least the visitation when her schedule allows.
It is an honor to have President Glenda Lehmann lead our organization.

We, the members of the Fraternal Order of Police Kentucky State Auxiliary need your help!
Our organization was formed to “unite the families of members of the Fraternal Order of Police as well as promoting their welfare socially, morally, intellectually, and to encourage them in all things.” We are a support group to the F.O.P. We strive to establish a feeling of harmony with the Parent Lodge and are supportive of their endeavors. We are a membership of over 115 dedicated family members (18 years and older). Imagine the difference we could make if we were a membership of 10,000 or more!
In these dangerous times families need to support one another. We are asking that you encourage your families to join the Auxiliary to your Lodge or organize an Auxiliary to your Lodge where there currently isn’t one. The F.O.P. Auxiliary is a valuable asset to your organization. If the Auxiliary can be of any assistance to your lodge please do not hesitate to contact any of the officers listed above.
Kentucky State Peace Officers Memorial Service
When: Monday - May 9, 2016 @ Noon EST

We honor all Fraternal Order of Police active and retired members who have passed away, and all law enforcement line-of-duty deaths. We encourage lodges to reach out to the families of those being honored and provide escorts for the families at the service and to attend the service to support the families and pay tribute to those being honored.
Every department is encouraged to send their Honor Guard and Color Guard to participate in the service.
